Well, NaNoWriMo is officially done and I... didn't exactly do it. But I got a little past halfway and I didn't quit, so I'm gonna be optimistic and call this a win. *does the Dance of Joy* Final count is...

I can't even tell you how happy and relieved I feel today, knowing that I don't have to work on that hateful novel anymore.

So, Lost... my non-spoilery opinion is that it was the first episode I've enjoyed in a while, and I think it was because they stayed focused on the castaways we know and love and they finally dealt with some of the hatch weirdness. Also, I didn't have to listen to Ana Lucia yelling at anyone so I didn't once have the urge to jab a fork into my eye.

I was thinking about it (and I'm unspoiled so this is just random, out-of-my-ass speculation) and so far they've killed off the two characters who were initially the most annoying to me... Boone and Snickerbitch (which, by the way, I think is pretty considerate of them). So if they continue following this pattern, Jack will be the next to die, followed by Ana Lucia. One can only hope. And Claire, you better get off the brat track you've been on lately 'cause I've got you in my sights.

Um... all I can say is: Word.

What about Charlie? Hasn't Charlie been annoying the hell right out of you? Cause I used to not understand the love for Dominic, and then I got a little bit more into the fandom, and I got it. And now, it's gone, all the love or interest in Dom has just gone the way of the Astin. And Charlie's really doing nothing but playing his guitar and being jealous about everyone else who talks to the pretty girls. And his backstory really has nowhere to go, he could barely sustain a second backstory episode.

Yeah, Charlie hasn't exactly been fulfilling my expectations either. I've always been way disappointed in his backstory and his flashback episodes. I don't think they've done enough to make him intriguing, compared to the cool stuff the other characters have going on in their flashbacks.

And he is starting to bug the crap outta me when he's hanging around Claire. I'm trying to blame that on her, though, instead of him, because I have a soft spot for my hobbits (except Astin, who's an asshat). I still like Charlie a lot when he's used sparingly, or when he's interacting with characters other than Claire or Jack or Locke. If they did a Charlie/Rose episode (no pun intended) I'd totally support that.

Maybe it'll turn out that Charlie once killed a man in Reno just to watch him die, or something. And then it'll be the original Sawyer who happens to be the father of Ana Lucia's baby. I can do convoluted plotlines with the best of them.

I try not to blame Claire for anything, cause she's cute and I like the turniphead. I liked the Charlie/Rose interaction in The Moth (I think it was The Moth). I just wish they'd give him something better to do than just acting jealous and betrayed all the time.
